Pat comes to us with a life long history of church leadership and service. Her greatest influence came from being raised in a Pastor’s home and watching her parent’s heart of compassion to serve God’s people. Coming from a musical family, she began at the age of 4 or 5 singing in the church for choir and dramas and later played a clarinet in the orchestra. Her interest in music afforded many opportunities in the community and at school and led her to earning a music scholarship at the U of O. Pat taught her first Sunday school class at age 13, was the president and leader of her first youth group at age 16. She took some classes at Eugene Bible College while pursuing her education in Accounting. Later she would become the CFO for five different churches, was on the Board of Directors for three churches and has been in all aspects of church leadership which includes; Director of youth, children, women, senior and music ministries. She thoroughly enjoys her time on the alter team and loves to see the power of God demonstrated.
Pat also has developed training curriculum, acted as a facilitator for a women’s support group and counseled many. Her career led her to working directly in the church as accountant and office administrator for a number of years and she continues doing the books and other behind the scenes activities here at EMF. Pat states that one of her biggest joys and why she has bounced around so much is because of her heart to train and equip individuals to do the work of the Lord and loves releasing others to take her job. She was recently given a word that she was an “Agent of Change” and looking back has realized that to be true. Pat loves to spend time in God’s presence. Next to her family, her biggest desire is to serve the body and minister in the house of the Lord. She states that “there is no better place to be then in the presence of God and you are never too old to touch a life!” At this time, her heart is for our women’s ministry. “I have gone through a lot of ups and downs in life myself and have seen the hand of God move, restore and complete His work as promised. Life, as a women, is not always easy and I feel I can encourage women, like never before, to see their worth and to never give up on the promises of God,” she says.
